User Personas: Admin | Project Manager | Field User
Activity Feed gives you one view of what is happening across every project you have access to: the latest photos, comments and on-site activity in a single feed. From there you can join the conversation, add comments, tag teammates and keep work moving without opening each document in turn.
| Activity Feed currently covers Field Notes only. Other eSUB tools and document types are planned but are not in the Feed yet, so if a document type you expect is missing, that is why. |
To see an activity, you need the applicable permissions for the underlying document. See the Permissions table at the end of this article.

Open the Activity Feed
|
Activity Feed reflects the access you already have: you see activity from the projects and people you can reach, under the same market area rules that scope the rest of eSUB. If someone references a post you cannot find, check market area assignment before assuming the feed missed it. See Market Area Visibility: Who Sees What. |
Select the Activity icon on the general navigation menu. A red notification badge on the icon means there is new activity, which includes a document being created, edited or commented on.
Selecting the Activity tool opens My Feed by default. It shows the most recent documents activity across every project in an easy navigable card view.
Selecting the filter icon also allows you to filter your feed to easily find relevant project information.
You can scroll the feed with your mouse or trackpad, by dragging the scroll bar, or with the up and down arrow keys.
To open an activity in full, select one of its images or its comments icon.

Tag Another User
Type @ followed by the user's name. A list of matching users appears as you type; select the right one to add the tag.
| A tagged user gets a push notification on their mobile device, but only if push notifications are switched on for that device. If someone says they never get tagged, check their device settings before assuming the tag failed. |
Attach Media to a Comment
Select the add-media button(
) beside the message input field to add an image from your computer. A thumbnail previews before you send.
| To turn on push notifications for your device, see the Apple or Android support center. That setting lives on the device, not in eSUB Fusion. |
Permissions
Activity Feed does not grant access of its own. You see an activity only if you already have permission to the document behind it.
Permission |
What it allows |
| Field Notes - General Permissions | Seeing Field Note activity in the feed. |
| Field Notes - Share | Seeing Field Notes that were shared with you. |
FAQ
Why can I not see a document in the Feed?
Either it is not a Field Note, since the feed covers Field Notes only for now, or you cannot reach the document itself. Access to the project and your market area assignment both apply, so activity from projects and people outside your market areas does not appear. The Activity Feed never shows you anything you could not already open. See Market Area Visibility: Who Sees What.
Does a tagged user get notified?
Yes. A tagged user receives a push notification on their mobile device, provided push notifications are enabled for that device. See Tag Another User.
How is the Activity Feed ordered?
Newest first. New and updated activity moves to the top left card shown.
