Activity Stream gives you a centralized view of all your activities across every project, helping you stay up to date with the latest photos, comments, and on-site activity. It’s an easy way to keep track of what’s happening and jump into the conversation—add comments, tag teammates, and keep things moving.
*Activity Stream is currently available for Field Notes. Incorporation of further eSUB tools and documents into Activity Stream will be available in the future!
To perform the actions described in this article, a user must have the applicable user permissions for the document/tools being shown in the Activity Stream (e.g. Field Notes - General Permissions and Share permissions.)

Activity Stream
Navigate to the Activity Stream by selecting the Activity icon from the General Navigation Menu. A red notification badge will alert you of any new activity, including a new document being created, edited, or commented on.
After selecting the Activity Tool, you will be defaulted to the Stream. Here you can browse through the most recent document activity across any projects you or your Users have access to. New and updated activities flow to the top of the Stream.
Use your mouse/trackpad to easily scroll through the Stream, you may alternatively click and drag the scroll bar to quickly scroll through the stream.

There are a variety of features available to allow Users to interact with the Activity, see below table for details.

Notification Center
The Notification Center allows Users to see what activities have been updated by other Users. Navigate to the notification center by selecting the Notifications from the slide out menu.
Users will see a notification badge in the Notifications menu if a comment is made in in the comment stream.
In the Notifications Log, Users can scroll to view updates to activities for projects to which they are assigned to. This includes:
- The initials of the User who added or updated an existing activity
- The project number and name
- The source of the activity including the date the associated document was created. Navigate to the associated document by clicking the (
) button.
- The latest comment left on the activity including any tags (@mentions)
Tagging and Commenting
The comment stream allows for quick updates, questions, and team collaboration. Users can add comments to activities and use them to share progress, raise concerns, or highlighting information needing attention.

After opening the activity, select the message input field to type your message.
- Enter any tags and other notes for discussion
- Users can tag other users by entering "@" and typing the desired User's name to notify them and keep everyone aligned.

When typing the User's name, a list of suggested and matching Users will be displayed, once the appropriate user has been found, select the User to add the tag.
- When a User is tagged in a comment, the User will receive a push notification on their mobile device if that User has push notifications enabled. See the Apple or Android support center to activate push notifications on your device.

Select (
) to add media from your computer to your message. A thumbnail of your selected media will be previewed. - Select the (
) icon, or simply press Enter -or- Return on your keyboard to add your comment to the Comment Stream for the activity.
