Various database items throughout eSUB Fusion - such as Cost Codes, Labor Classes, Keywords, and more - Can be made available or unavailable for use as dictated by your business needs. This article also touches on entities that use a similar status type schema - Active or Inactive.
Only an Admin User can change the status of a database item or entity within your organization.
Use the links below to quickly jump to a topic:
Available Status
An item that is available means that it is generally available for use or assignment to projects.
-
An available Cost Code is available to be assigned to/used on projects.
-
An available Keyword means the Keyword is available to be tagged onto documents.
| Any database items or entity that has the status property will follow the same general rules. |
Unavailable Status
An item that is unavailable means that it is generally unavailable for use or assignments to projects. Any item that was made unavailable will have the historical data related to that item kept intact, but would not be able to be used while it is in the unavailable state.
-
An unavailable Cost Code is no longer available to be assigned to/used on projects. Any historical documents or reports containing data related to that Cost Code will remain intact.
-
An unavailable Keyword means the Keyword will no longer appear as an option to tag onto documents. The Keyword will still appear in analytics and on documents it was used on in the past, but cannot be used moving forward.
- Certain database items can not be deleted to ensure data integrity on historical documents and reports, in the case that the database item is no longer needed you would simply set the item's status to be unavailable.
