Labor Rates for your Crew Members are flexible and easy to configure for each project, enabling you to create general Labor Classes and project specific Rate Templates.
To perform the actions described in this article, a user must have the Company - Labor Classes - General Permissions and Change Status permissions.

View and Manage Labor Rates
- Select Settings on the global navigation menu, then select Labor Rates from the slide out menu
- Select a tab depending on the settings you wish to configure

Create and Manage Labor Classes
Labor Classes are managed under the Labor Classes tab. Labor Classes must be configured before Rate Templates.
Create Labor Class
From the Labor Classes tab:
- Select the Actions button then Add Labor Class
- Enter the new Labor Class name
- Select + Add Labor Class to create additional Labor Classes as desired
- Select Save when finished

Rename Labor Class
From the Labor Classes tab:
- Select the Actions button then Edit Labor Class
- Select a Labor Class and make the desired edits to the Labor Class name
- Select Save when finished
Change Labor Class Status

From the Labor Classes tab:
- Select the Actions button then Edit Labor Class
- Use the toggle button under the Status column to make a Labor Class unavailable or available as needed
- Select Save when finished

Create and Manage Rate Templates
Rate Templates are managed under the Rate Templates tab. Labor Classes must be configured before Rate Templates.
Create Rate Template
From the Rate Templates tab:
- Select Add Rate Template on the action button
- Select Name and enter the name of the new Rate Template
- Enter the Shift 2 Differential and Shift 3 Differential if desired
- Select either $ Dollars or % Percentage for the shift differential
- Configure the rates for each Labor Class
- Enter the Regular, OT, and DT rates as desired
- Select the toggle under the Active column to make the Labor Class active or inactive as needed for the Rate Template
- Select Save when finished

A Labor Class must be active on the project's Rate Templates in order to track time against that Labor Class in a Daily Report. |
Edit Rate Template
From the Rate Templates tab:
- Select the three-dot button on the Rate Template, then select Edit Rate Template
- Make the desired edits to the Rate Template
- Select Save when finished

Changes to a Rate Template will affect historical data. If your pay rates have changed, it is best practice to create a new Rate Template to reflect the updated rates. |
Assign Default Labor Class to Crew Member
Default Labor Classes are assigned to Crew members by an administrator, but the Crew member's Labor Class may be overridden temporarily on a Daily Report if a Crew member performed work as a different Labor Class for a portion of their work day.

- Select User Admin on the global navigation menu, then select Users from the slide out menu
- Select the Crew member to view it, then select Edit
- Select the Primary Labor Class field and choose the Labor Class for the Crew member
- Select Save when finished

Manage Rate Templates on Projects
- Select Projects on the global navigation menu, then select a project from the list
- Select Project Info under Settings in the slide out menu
- Select Edit on the action button then select the Rate Template(s) field and choose the desired Rate Templates for the project
- Select Save when finished
