This information can only be changed through a member of eSUB Client Services. Please contact support@esub.com if your company information has changed.
General Preferences
-
Company Logo - Your company logo may be uploaded to your organization so that it can display on various documents and pages in eSUB Cloud 2.0.
- The acceptable file types for upload are PNG and JPG.
Cost Codes
Cost Codes are used to break down a project's expenses into different activities and cost categories. Using cost codes effectively can enhance the job cost reporting details on your projects so that your organization can become more cost-efficient when budgeting jobs.
Every organization has a standard list of company Cost Codes that are managed by administrators under Company Settings. Each project also has its own Cost Codes list that is comprised of the same Cost Codes in the company list. For flexibility, the project-level Cost Codes may be modified and renamed as needed on a per-project basis by a project manager under Settings. Changes made to Cost Codes at the project level do not affect the company Cost Codes list.
For guidance on setting up the company Cost Codes list, see the Cost Codes Setup article.
For guidance on configuring Cost Codes at the project level, see the Project Settings article.
Timecard Preferences
- Default - Week Ending - Set the default week-ending day for your payroll
-
Crew Time Entry - Configure the available options when inputting crew hours on Daily Reports: Overtime (OT), Double Time (DT), Shift, and Labor Class Override fields
- Note that this setting is only relevant if the Crew tab is enabled for Daily Reports (See the Daily Reports section below)
|
Disabling the Labor Class Override field will remove the ability for a Foreman to override a Crew member's standard pay rate on Daily Report Crews. |
Tags Management
Keywords
Keywords are configurable tags that can be added to Daily Reports and Field Notes to allow for quicker response to issues or setbacks on the job site, and for project-level reporting. Every organization comes with preloaded Keywords, but Keywords may be added, modified, or removed depending on your unique business needs.
To learn more about how to configure this useful tool, see the Keywords Setup article for guidance.
Units of Measure
Units allow your company to define, estimate, and track your production assets for each job.
Every account contains default unit of measure values that cannot be deleted. However, custom units of measure can be added, edited, or deleted as needed.
- Select Settings from the global navigation menu then select Units of Measure under Tags Management
- Select Edit on the action button
- To add a unit of measure: Select + Add Row then enter the details of the new unit of measure
- To edit an existing unit of measure: Use the inline fields to make edits to an existing unit of measure
- To delete a unit of measure: Select the Delete icon on an existing unit of measure
- Select Save when finished
Market Areas
Market Areas in eSUB allow you to define a single, global list of categories — such as Commercial, Healthcare, Education, or any segmentation that fits your business — and assign them to your projects. Once assigned, Market Areas can be used to filter and group reports (such as the Global Cost to Complete report*) so you can see how segments of your portfolio are performing.
To create a market area:
- Select Settings from the global navigation menu then select Market Areas
- Select +Add Market Area on the Actions Button
- Once created, the Market Areas can be assigned to projects in two ways
- From the Company Settings: By selecting the Assign Tab under Market Areas and assigning a Market Area to each project
- From a Project: By editing the project's Project Info page and selecting the Market Area from the Market Area dropdown
- From the Company Settings: By selecting the Assign Tab under Market Areas and assigning a Market Area to each project
*Market Areas are currently only available for use in the Global Cost to Complete Report. Additional Market Area features will be in a future release.
Labor Rates
Labor Rates for your Crew Members are flexible and easy to configure for each project, enabling you to create general Labor Classes and project specific Rate Templates.
See the Labor Rates Setup article for more guidance.
Documents
Company settings serve as the default for all projects at the time of creation. If company settings are updated after a project has been created, the new defaults will only apply to projects created from that point forward. To update settings on existing projects, those changes will need to be made individually at the project level under each project's settings.
Document settings allow you to set the default values for the configurable options within each document type for all of your projects. If one of your projects requires different settings, then you can configure that specific project's settings under the project settings menu. See the Project Settings article for guidance.
Daily Reports
- Display - Allows you to enable or disable the Comments and Crews tabs on your Daily Reports
- Edit Window - After the specified number of days in the edit window has elapsed, the Daily Report is locked from editing
|
Updates to the Edit Window setting will affect all future projects. The Edit Window setting can be updated on current projects under Project Settings. |
- Comments - Select and/or rename the comment boxes that appear in the Comments tab on Daily Reports.
| Renaming the comment boxes on your Daily Reports will affect all historical and future Daily Reports. |

- Reservation of Rights - Customizable text that appears on the COR PDF
|
You have the option to omit the Reservation of Rights text each time a COR is downloaded as a PDF or emailed. |

When creating your progress billings, a retainage value is automatically populated. Unless manually edited for each progress billing, or edited in the project settings, retainage value will populate as noted in the Company Settings.
Edit the retainage value to adjust the default value used on your projects.
Purchase Orders
- Purchase Order Numbering - Set the default numbering convention for Purchase Orders that use auto-generated numbers
- Custom Disclaimer - Customizable text that appears on the Purchase Order PDF
|
You have the option to omit the Disclaimer text each time a PO is downloaded as a PDF or emailed. |
Drawings

Customize your discipline list to better support your unique workflows.
- Select Settings on the Global Navigation Menu then select Drawings
- Select the Actions Button and select +Add Discipline
- Customize your new drawing discipline’s name
- Optional: Toggle the predefined disciplines to unavailable to shorten the discipline drop down list when tagging sheets
To assign disciplines to a sheet see: Assigning Disciplines to Sheets
| If a User creates a custom name, tags it to sheets, and later decides to edit the name of that discipline it will not retroactively change the discipline name on all tagged sheets. A User would have to edit the selected discipline on those sheets to the updated discipline. |
