Activity Feed (Mobile)

The Activity Feed gives you a centralized view of Field Note activity across every project you are assigned to, helping you stay up to date with the latest photos, comments, and on-site activity. Add comments, tag teammates, and keep the conversation moving without leaving the field. See the Field Notes or Field Notes (Mobile) articles for steps on creating new Field Notes.

In the mobile app, the feed screen is titled Activity Feed and is opened from the Activity tab at the bottom of the screen.

To perform the actions in this article, you need the Field Note View - User permissions. See Set Up User Permissions, or contact an Admin user to adjust your permissions.

Activity Feed

From the My Projects log:

  1. Select the Activity tab at the bottom of the screen to open the Activity Feed

You can view Field Note activity for any project you are assigned to. New and updated Field Notes flow into the top of the feed. Each card in the feed displays:

  • The initials of the user who created the Field Note
  • The project number and project name
  • When the Field Note was posted and by whom
  • Thumbnails of the attached media
  • The note text
  • A Source link that opens the originating Field Note
  • Keyword tags applied to the Field Note
  • The comment icon with a count of comments

 Editing and saving a Field Note moves its activity back to the top of the Activity Feed, so the feed always reflects the most recent activity.

Notification Center

The Notification Center shows you which Field Notes other users have updated.

  1. Select the Notifications tab at the bottom of the My Projects log to open the Notification Center

  2. A number badge appears on the Notifications tab when a comment is made on a Field Note
  3. Select a notification to open the related conversation

A push notification is sent to your device when you are @mentioned in a comment, if push notifications are enabled for the eSUB Fusion app on your device. See the Apple or Android support center to activate push notifications on your device.

Tagging and Commenting

Comments allow for quick updates, questions, and team collaboration. Use them to share progress, raise concerns, or highlight anything that needs attention on a Field Note. You can also @mention other users to notify them and keep everyone aligned.

From the Activity Feed

From the My Projects log:

  1. Select the Activity tab at the bottom of the screen
  2. Scroll to the Field Note of interest
  3. Select the comment icon at the bottom of the card

From a Field Note

From the Project Home Screen:

  1. Select a project from the project list, then select Field Notes
  2. Select the applicable Field Note
  3. Select the comment icon to view or add comments

With the Comments panel open:

  1. Select the Send a message field to begin a comment, or select + to attach media.
  2. To mention a user, type @ and begin typing the user’s name, then select their name from the list that appears
  3. Select the blue up arrow to post the comment
  4. Tap the conversation to close the keyboard, and swipe down on the comment panel to return to the Activity Feed

 Select the microphone icon in the message field to dictate your comment with your device’s talk-to-text instead of typing.
