The Field Notes tool provides a streamlined way to relay information between the field and the office. Field users on the eSUB Fusion mobile app can easily upload and tag job site images to document progress, issues, delays, safety protocols, material shipments, and anything else your business needs. Office users can quickly review and respond to Field Notes in order to keep operations running smoothly.
To perform the actions described in this article, a user must have the Field Notes - General Permissions and Share permissions.

View and Manage the Field Note Log
- Select Projects on the global navigation menu, then select the desired project from the list
- Select Field Notes from the slide out menu
- Use the sort and filter icons on the log to refine the list
- Select a Field Note to view it
Log Features
Search, Sort, and Filter the Log
- Use the Search bar at the top of the page to enter your search criteria
- For pages that appear as tables, use the filter buttons on the header to make your desired sorting/filtering selections
- For pages that appear as card lists, use the filter button that appears above the card list (next to the Search bar) to make your desired sorting/filtering selections

Download Documents
- Select the 3-dot menu in line with the applicable document from the log page, then select View PDF
- Select the desired sections and/or attachments to include in the PDF (if applicable) then select Done
- If the preview is acceptable, select Download, or select Configure and repeat step 2

Export Document Logs
To be able to save your records or for analysis, you can export document logs into CSV.

Select the Action button and select Export Log. The log file will download into CSV format.

Email Documents
- Select the 3-dot menu from the log page, then select Email
- Compose the email, then select Send

Create Field Note
Field Notes can be created on either the mobile app or the web. See the Field Notes on Mobile article for more guidance on creating Field Notes via the mobile app.
- Select Projects on the global navigation menu, then select the desired project from the list
- Select Field Notes from the slide out menu
- Select Add Field Note on the action button
- Enter a description in the Notes field
- Add attachments, Keywords, and Location Tags (See below)
- Select Save when finished

Media & Attachments
Files, media, and other supporting documentation can be attached to the Field Note.

Notes
Use the Notes field to lend more context to the Field Note.
Keywords
Keywords are tags that can be added to the document for categorization purposes or to bring attention to issues or setbacks on the job site.

Location Tags
Location Tags are a feature of Field Notes that lets the creator tag a specific area within the job site. Location Tags can be entered on the fly while creating a Field Note so that the Location Tags list for a project grows dynamically as more Field Notes are created on the project. A Location Tag can be reused on the project once it has been created and applied.
Examples of Location Tags might include: 6th Floor, Room 121, Rooftop, Basement, etc.

Activity Log
The Activity Log tab displays a timeline of activity related to the document such as the email activity.
To see the Activity Log tab, a user must have the Mailbox - General Permissions permission.
From the document log page:
- Select the document to view it then select the Activity Log tab
- Select a link under Email Activity to view the associated message
Edit Field Note
From the Field Notes log:
- Select a Field Note to view, then select Edit
- Make edits as desired
- Select Save when finished
Delete Field Note
From the Field Notes log:
- Select a Field Note to view, then select Edit
- Select Delete
